Training program “Digital Transformation for Family Farming” for the “Connected Communities” project

About the project

The Connected Communities” project is a joint initiative of the United Nations System, the Government of Chile and the private sector aimed at reducing the digital divide in vulnerable rural areas. Led by FAO, together with ECLAC, UN Women, PAHO and ITU, it will be implemented in the regions of Ñuble and La AraucanĂa, with the objective of strengthening digital inclusion in these territories. In this framework, Rimisp will design and implement a training program to enhance the use of digital tools in family farming.

The main objective is to develop digital skills that improve the efficiency and sustainability of production systems, while also enhancing marketing and associativity. The training includes a practical model divided into three areas: digital literacy, sustainable production and commercial management.
