The “Indigenous Food Culture” book tour continues its pre-launches throughout the continent. After the first meeting held at the end of October in Colombia, the activities moved to Mexico and Guatemala, where new days of dialogue and exchange were held with local communities.

In Mexico, together with our partners at Cesder, two pre-launches were held. The first meeting took place on November 10, generating a space for reflection with the students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Rural Processes for a Dignified Life. Subsequently, on November 15, the communities of Zautla and Ixtacamatitlán actively participated in the presentation of the book, reaffirming the importance of preserving and disseminating the food practices that sustain the identity of the people.

Simultaneously, in Guatemala, the book was presented to the Q’eqchi’ people. Thanks to the efforts of our partners at Aproba Sank, the publication was presented on November 13th during the Feria Campesina held in Lanquín, Alta Verapaz. This scenario allowed the publication, edited by Rimisp, to serve as a tool for dialogue on the richness of local agro-food systems and the cultural resilience of indigenous communities.
