Technical assistance to strengthen management and leadership tools for the Atacameño community of Toconce

About the project

This project, implemented by Huella Local with the support of Rimisp, seeks to strengthen the management and leadership tools of the Atacameño community of Toconce through a mixed participatory methodological design, considering aspects of participatory research, capacity building and accompaniment. The project structure comprises 3 components: i) a participatory organisational diagnosis to identify positive and negative factors as an organisation; ii) training sessions for community members and iii) a process of accompaniment in the implementation of the measures.

General objective: To design and implement an organisational strengthening plan adapted to the needs of the Atacameño Community of Toconce (CAT), which will enable it to strengthen itself as a representative organisation of the Atacameño people of Toconce in charge of administering its resources and territory, as well as ensuring access to goods and services for the community’s population.

Specific objectives:

  1. To diagnose the internal and external situation of the Atacameño Community of Toconce and identify the factors that positively and negatively influence its performance as a representative body of the Atacameño people of Toconce.
  2. Based on the diagnosis and identified needs, train members of the CAT on priority issues for community organisational strengthening.
  3. Accompany the CAT in the effective implementation of organisational strengthening measures for the benefit of the community.
