Rimisp Academy

Introduction

Our training offer is based on the articulation of theoretical and practical knowledge that emerges from Rimisp’s applied research, thus providing tools that allow to learn about approaches and concepts associated to territorial development applied to issues related to biocultural diversity, territorial cohesion and social inclusion, supporting the development of public policies, programs and projects relevant to local realities. They also contribute to the empowerment and dynamization of capacities and resources in Latin American territories and create and promote knowledge and learning networks around territorial development throughout the region, with a combination of different training formats: face-to-face, semi-face-to-face and virtual with innovative methodologies, specifically developed to improve teaching processes. With space for territorial knowledge of strategies and development of collective learning.

We have a team of specialist teachers made up of academics and researchers with an outstanding track record. We also have different partners in Universities and Research Centres, guaranteeing comprehensive training from multiple perspectives.

Our programmes are aimed at all those who are interested in equity and justice for Latin America and who value the contribution that a territorial approach can make in reducing gaps and building more equitable societies. We seek to strengthen the capacities of actors involved in territorial development processes, so that they can be active agents of change and transformation in their areas of action.

Public agents, decision-makers, designers and executors of public policies at national, regional and local levels. Territorial actors, such as local producers and entrepreneurs, local technicians, representatives of associations, community, social and cultural managers, among others.
